Earth Hour 2010 is tomorrow!
For individuals to participate in this GLOBAL event, you just got to switch off the lights in your home during that hour. It's so simple.
While for corporates, you gotta switch off your office lights. Besides switching off lights, they are ORGANIZING CONCERTS or some SOIREE.
What is the purpose of having Earth Hour when we switch off the lights, there are concerts or events being organized at the shopping malls. Concerts / Events means using amplifiers, microphones, spotlights, speakers etc. These puppies take a lot of juice. Earth Hour has just became another commercialized stunt.
We should boycott these activities, and really switch off everything electronic. Be together with family and friends in prayer or contemplate about our planet. This is really saving the environment.
I hope everybody could be part of this move to REALLY HELP our PLANET by doing it right.
Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. Up in the Air with Balloons
Sorry no recipes again. I was busy attending the 2nd Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.
Putrajaya was packed to the extent that there were no more parking spots. There were families with their kids. Kids running about. The bigger kids were playing with their DSLRs. This pains me to see new modeled DSLRs and I'm still using a Nikon D70s. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful and happy with my dear D70s.
There were rides for the public on the Hot Air Balloon, but the line was long and they just flew about 3 storeys. So it kinda put me off.
I actually went there twice in hopes to get Darth Vader. Sadly, I wasn't able to. First Attempt - I was late. Second Attempt - It prematurely landed! Why ooo Why!
Enjoy some of the photos here, but do drop by the full set at this link.
